New Jersey Teachers Convention

For New Jersey, the first Thursday and Friday of every year is the annual NJ Teachers Convention held in Atlantic City and that means schools are closed.  Some teachers will be taking a break to relax, some will be going to the seminars and some will be enjoying the fun Atlantic City has to offer with their casinos and restaurants. But for parents who have children home, the question is, “What are we going to do with the kids?”

I have a fourth-grader now and I work from home so I want to plan something fun. We have been to many places and I am here to give you some great suggestions. I have fun for the whole family that is also budget-friendly. I love packing the car for a road trip and I like to visit local places in the area. To save money, make your own bagged lunch with sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and beverages. This will save you time with lines and save money in your wallet. I have activities you can enjoy indoors and out.

Take a train or ride the ferry. A trip to New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia will fill your day with amazing museums, beautiful botanical gardens the new additions at the zoo. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be ready to have fun. Check Groupon or your destination website, discounts may be offered.
