We had the pleasure of visiting Duke Farms this summer and I still wish we rented the bikes. It was a very hot day and we walked over 5 miles and still had more property to see. Duke Farms is a 2,740-acre property. I recommend going early in the morning or later in the afternoon in the summer months and bring water.
I told my daughter we would come back for another visit and make sure we ride the bikes. Duke Farms is located at 1112 Dukes Parkway West, Hillsborough, N.J. 08844. There are nine manmade lakes, over 18 miles of roads, and over 45 buildings. Their hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Closed Wednesdays. firstname.lastname@example.org
We started in the information center where there is a café located and the history of the different species that surround Duke Farms. We then started our way on the trail. There are beautiful stone structures that surround the property. Orchid Range was designed by Boston architects Kendall Taylor & Stevens.
The Orchid Range and its range of propagating houses originally held palms, potted trees, ferns, and orchids. The Tropical Orchid Garden is filled with a wide variety of orchid species from tropical regions with some of the most beautiful orchids.
Duke Farms is a great place to spend your day relaxing with a walk and riding a bike and enjoying the peaceful setting. Annual festivals are held at the property along with a Farmers Market throughout the year.
